Katy + David

I don’t even know where to begin! This was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time & since! Not only did I get to road trip to Tulsa with my little sister (who is my second shooter/apprentice in training!) but this wedding was as dreamy as it gets. There was not a better wedding for my sister to get her feet wet at. I really wanted Siera (sista) to understand that wedding photography is so much more than a “perfect” shot but it’s about becoming immersed in the ambiance of two people’s unique love so you’re able to transfer those emotions to something tangible. Katy & David (along with their friends/family) are two of the most deserving, genuine human beings I have ever been blessed to work with. The day was overflowing with raw & undeniable gratitude for the love they have found. They created their wedding day to be more than a union to each other but to honor all of the people who have made them who they are. Each place setting wasn’t only labeled with names but they added a few words describing something unique & lovely about that person. WHAT! Exactly. Dream couple. It was just a wonderful experience. I won’t even bore you with the deets about the MOST AMAZING HOTEL I’ve laid eyes on! Campbell Hotel in Tulsa,OK. Look it up- you won’t be mad! Our room was a black & gold luxury pad suited for a Persian goddess. Really, I could go on for days so I’ll stop now.

Justin + Hannah

A couple weeks ago I met up with Hannah & Justin on a beautiful (hello a rare 50 in this eternal winter) evening at the Clinton Lake trails! The week leading up to our session was rainy, dreary, and completely yuck, and while I’m sure these two could’ve warmed up any scenery we had, I was oh so happy to see the sun!!  These two are completely head over heels for one another, and have the kind of happy that every one deserves to feel.  You know that love where nothing else matters when you’re together?  When you forget that other people are even with you?  They totally have that, and it was heartwarming to watch them together, and even better to get to capture it!  These two beauts are getting married this upcoming October & I can’t wait to watch them become Mr. & Mrs. Ross!

Matthew + Kayte sitting in a tree

I decided that I am going to take this #TBT (Throw Back Thursday) & use it to my blogging advantage. I have so.many.incredible shoots that I’ve done throughout the years & thinking about somehow blogging them is downright overwhelming. Somehow the thought of showcasing one every #TBT is way less taunting & actually exciting. Now, back to the subject of this post; Matthew & Kayte. You could search high & low without a mere sight of imperfection. Such a lovely Fall day; adorned by spunky people, rustic details, & of course, love.

Mr. & Mrs. Zacharias

Mr. & Mrs. Zacharias. What a lovely reception! The windowed walls, brunch buffet, & nautical touches were perfectly suited for such a classy couple. Kristen & Felix are truly two of the nicest people I have ever met & all of their guests were a true reflection of that. From bow ties to babies with bows I hope you enjoy a glimpse into their Lawrence wedding reception.

Mr. & Mrs. Brouhard

It’s hard to even know where to begin describing how incredible Cole & Amanda are. Not only were they a dream couple but their wedding party were as lovely as can be. Amanda did such a great job capturing a feminine elegance throughout the entire day. From the pink hued peonies to the crystals that laced the tables- it was one of my favorite “work” days for sure.
